Hill Air Force Base fighter wings conducted an F-35 flyover in Sandy ahead of Real Salt Lake's match against Austin FC.

Airmen from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings performed the flyover at America First Field on Saturday with the assistance of over40 maintainers and support personnel.

Air force base officials said in a press release prior to the game that residents in the Salt Lake Metro area and Utah Valley should prepare for jets to be much closer than normal, asjets were planned to fly 1,000 feet above the stadium.

Western Conference-leading Real Salt Lake ultimately won Saturday's game5-1, extending their unbeaten streak to 13.
