PARIS (WKRC) - A gold medalist will return home with a little more than just a fancy necklace after he made history by becoming his country's first man to win a gold medal.

Carlos Yulo, 24, became the first male gold medalist from his home country of the Philippines when he dominated the competition in the Men's Floor Exercise. He cemented his athletic exceptionality by earning a second gold medal the next day in the Men's Vault Final.

Every Olympian's dream is to bring home the gold, but Yulo has an even bigger prize waiting for him at home.

Two days before Yulo's first gold medal win, the Filipino realty company Megaworld announced they would "reward each Filipino gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with a fully-furnished two-bedroom residential condominium unit valued at P24-million inside the company's 50-hectare McKinley Hill township in Taguig City."

For reference, 24 million Philippine pesos is over $416,000, and the McKinley Hill township is a large, high-end complex designed to mimic "the sophisticated culture of Southern Europe."

Megaworld wanted to do more to recognize Yulo's historic and impressive back-to-back gold medals, and instead offered the athlete a three-bedroom condo.

Megaworld aren't the only ones rewarding Yulo for his performance. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. announced they would award Yulo an additional 20 million Philippine pesos (around $346,000) and a home in Tagaytay, just outside of Manila.

But it's still not over! The Philippine House of Representatives said they will award Yulo with a further 6 million Philippine pesos (around $104,000).

Yulo will be hard pressed to find something to spend all that money on, since small business after small business has been jumping on the bandwagon to support the Olympian.

X user @saintnierva compiled a thread of all of Yulo's gifts, but notable prizes include a lifetime of free food from various Filipino fast food chains, free colonoscopies, free furniture, and even free college credits.
