SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — College football is changing, and coaches are changing with it. Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham put out a plea for money on social media, because the Utes need more money to pay players. The players' ability to earn money off of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) has been a game-changer for recruits. DJ and PK talk about that and try to figure out where the Utes and Cougars fit in the Big 12 when it comes to players' ability to earn money. Plus, how will schools prioritize football and basketball if they don't have enough money for both? Arizona, Kansas and Houston might take a very different approach then ASU, BYU and Utah.
Also, right after the Timberwolves beat the Nuggets in Denver, Rudy Gobert referenced Minnesota's camaraderie in an apparent shot at the Utah Jazz lack of chemistry when he was teammates with Donovan Mitchell. Watch DJ and Pk's conversation here.
