SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Salt Lake City Police Department arrested a 17-year-old who is suspected to be part of a drive-by shooting in Fairpark.
The drive-by shooting happened early morning on Monday, Aug. 5, police said. Officers in the area heard gunshots and a car speeding away near 200 North 1300 West, officials said.
After talking with witnesses and collecting evidence, police said they could not find the car that was seen during the incident. No injuries were reported from the shooting.

On Wednesday, police said they found the car reportedly involved and took a 17-year-old into custody. It was not specified if the 17-year-old was the owner of the car.
After obtaining a warrant, police searched the connected car and found a handgun and "an AR-15 style rifle," officials said.
The 17-year old, whose identity will not be released due to being a minor, was booked into Salt Lake Valley Detention Center, police said.
